QA Automation Engineer

Bottomline Technologies, a global leader in business payments and cash management, is seeking a QA Automation Engineer for CapitalCloud, A Bottomline company. This challenging and rewarding position is based in Bangalore, India.

As a QA Automation Engineer, you'll be responsible for analyzing user needs, developing test strategies, writing test cases, and developing test automation scripts/frameworks to support continuous integration. You'll work closely with developers and other QA engineers to define optimal automation plans and have the opportunity to learn and propose new automation tools.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and maintaining automated test frameworks and systems
• Reviewing automation code and providing suggestions
• Creating test automation scripts using Selenium WebDriver with Page Object Model
• Analyzing user needs and software requirements
• Collaborating with developers to discuss and resolve defects
• Utilizing appropriate testing tools for front-end and back-end QA
• Coordinating automated testing efforts for concurrent projects and releases

Required skills:

• Proficiency in Selenium WebDriver API
• Knowledge of Java, Python, SQL, or Groovy
• Experience with Cucumber/Serenity-BDD
• Familiarity with tools like SQL Developer, VMware, Eclipse/IntelliJ, SoapUI, Jenkins, JMeter
• Ability to perform automated testing for web application UIs and RESTful services
• SQL database query skills
• Test reporting knowledge using TestNG, SoapUI, and Report Portal
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred skills include experience with JIRA, Confluence, Git, mobile automation (Appium), SauceLabs or Browserstack, and exposure to the banking & finance domain.

The ideal candidate will have 4-8 years of experience in automation framework development for web applications and a Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
