QA Automation Engineer II

Bottomline Technologies, a global leader in business payments and cash management, is seeking a QA Automation Engineer II for their Bangalore, India office. This challenging and rewarding role involves developing and maintaining automated test frameworks and systems for CapitalCloud, a Bottomline company.

As a QA Automation Engineer II, you will be responsible for analyzing user needs, participating in test strategy development, writing test cases, and developing test automation scripts/frameworks to support continuous integration. You'll work closely with developers and other QA engineers to define optimal automation plans according to product release timelines. This position offers the opportunity to learn new automation tools and propose them for future automation framework development.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Developing and maintaining automated test frameworks and systems
2. Reviewing automation code and providing suggestions
3. Creating test automation scripts using Selenium WebDriver Page Object Model framework
4. Analyzing user needs and software requirements
5. Collaborating with developers and QA engineers on defects and resolutions
6. Utilizing appropriate testing tools for front-end and back-end Quality Assurance
7. Coordinating automated testing efforts for concurrent projects and software releases

Required skills and qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in automation framework development for web applications
• Proficiency in Selenium WebDriver API
• Knowledge of Java, Python, SQL, and Groovy
• Experience with Cucumber/Serenity-BDD
• Familiarity with tools such as SQL Developer, VMware, Eclipse/IntelliJ, SoapUI, Jenkins, and JMeter
• Ability to perform automated testing against web application UIs and RESTful services
• Strong SQL database query skills
• Test reporting knowledge using TestNG, SoapUI, and Report Portal
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Preferred skills include experience with JIRA, Confluence, Git, mobile automation (Appium), and cloud-based testing platforms like SauceLabs or Browserstack.
