Software Engineer II

Bottomline Technologies is seeking a Software Engineer II to join their team in India. As a global leader in business payments and cash management, Bottomline moves more than $10 trillion in payments annually. The ideal candidate will be involved in all stages of development, including planning, implementation, testing, documentation, release, and product support. They will work on debugging and implementing new changes to systems as prioritized.

Key responsibilities include:

• Implementing new features and modifications
• Developing code for system changes or new modules within Bottomline core technology and architecture
• Participating in code reviews
• Documenting code changes and unit test results
• Performing production support, troubleshooting, and maintenance

The role requires strong coding experience in Java, J2EE, SQL, and JavaScript, as well as expertise in Spring, Hibernate, SpringBoot, and Docker. Knowledge of REST API design and implementation, testing frameworks like JUnit, and version control systems like GitLab is essential.

This position offers an opportunity to work on complex financial applications and contribute to transforming the way businesses pay and get paid. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent, with 2+ years of experience as a full stack developer.
