Trainee Engineer

Bottomline, a global leader in business payments and cash management with over 30 years of experience, is seeking a Trainee Engineer to join their team in Bangalore. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to transforming how businesses pay and get paid, moving more than $10 trillion in payments annually.

As a Trainee Engineer, you'll be expected to have awareness of front-end languages/frameworks (e.g., HTML/CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Angular) and programming skills (e.g., Java, Python, Ruby, JavaScript, NodeJS). Knowledge of Android/iOS development, OLTP and OLAP database modeling, and cloud technology is desired. The ideal candidate should have a strong orientation towards self-learning and growth, with a keen interest in the latest technologies.

Key responsibilities include:

• Incorporating software design & development fundamentals and best practices
• Demonstrating proficiency in software development through projects on GitHub
• Understanding test-driven development and continuous integration/deployment
• Working with databases such as Postgres, Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL

Requirements:

• BE/B.Tech in CSE, ECE, or IT, with a minimum of 70% or 7.0 CGPA, graduated in 2023 or 2024
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and sense of responsibility
• Strong logical and analytical skills
• Flexibility in learning different technologies
• Willingness to work flexible hours to accommodate meetings across different time zones
• Positive and can-do attitude
