Broadcom's ASIC Products Division is seeking an ASIC Implementation Engineer to join their Design Implementation team. This role focuses on creating CMOS ASICs for cutting-edge AI & Machine Learning, Wireless, Networking, Computing, and Storage products. The position offers hands-on experience in taking innovative integrated circuit designs from concept through product release.
As an ASIC Implementation Engineer, you'll be responsible for various aspects of physical ASIC design, including customer communication, floor planning, routing, timing analysis, and integration of various components. The role requires expertise in understanding complex issues related to timing closure, power integrity, and signal integrity, as well as physical verification for mask release.
The position offers a competitive compensation package with a base salary range of $81,000 - $130,000, plus potential annual bonus and equity compensation. Responsibilities For ASIC Implementation Engineer
- Customer communication
- Floor planning chips and blocks
- Routing
- Timing, both mission mode and test modes
- Integration of memories, SerDes, and I/O
- Work effectively with cross functional teams
- Integration of test and clocking structures
- Design of complex standard cell custom blocks
- Understanding of design tradeoffs for power, area, and speed
- Understanding of complex issues related to timing closure, power integrity and signal integrity
- Physical verification to ensure error free artwork/mask release
Requirements For ASIC Implementation Engineer
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering + 2 yrs experience
- Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
- Self-motivated with the capability to work independently and as a member of a team to deliver quality designs
- Possess outstanding critical thinking, and communication skills
