Responsibilities For Dedicated Technical Support Engineer 3 - VCF Compute

  • Resolve customer technical issues and support team operations
  • Document customer interactions and troubleshooting steps
  • Handle ESXi and vCenter deployments and upgrades
  • Troubleshoot vSphere & vCenter Server issues
  • Partner with Engineering and Field Teams
  • Create and update knowledge articles
  • Provide formal root cause analysis
  • Facilitate proactive service through regular customer calls
  • Represent VMware in multi-vendor troubleshooting
  • Assist with software updates and migrations

Requirements For Dedicated Technical Support Engineer 3 - VCF Compute

Python
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience plus 5+ years of Industry working experience OR Master's degree plus 3+ years of experience
  • Excellent communication skills and account management/customer engagement experience
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Advanced knowledge of vSphere ESXi and vCenter Server
  • Expert in troubleshooting vSphere & vCenter Server
  • Expert knowledge in VMFS/NFS architecture
  • Experience with database administration (Postgres & MS SQL)
  • Knowledge in scripting languages (Python/PowerShell)
  • Experience in handling ESXi and vCenter deployments and upgrades
