Broadcom is seeking a Dedicated Technical Support Engineer to join their team in Cork, Ireland. This Level 3 position focuses on supporting VMware by Broadcom's VCF suite for key European customers. Responsibilities For Dedicated Technical Support Engineer

  • Provide support to key strategic customers using VMware by Broadcom products
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues in customer environments
  • Regular follow up with customers providing recommendations and action plans
  • Engage with account teams and engineering teams to resolve escalated issues
  • Create new knowledge opportunities for organizational learning
  • Participate in technical communications to share best practices
  • Focus on technical specialization and attend technical trainings
  • Analyze and determine effective methods of problem resolution
  • Research problems and document solutions

Requirements For Dedicated Technical Support Engineer

Linux
  • 5+ years of enterprise technical support experience with vSphere products
  • Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills
  • Strong aptitude for learning new technologies
  • Logical approach to problem solving & Strong Troubleshooting experience
  • Flexible to work evening/night hours and weekends if required
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Certifications (VCP, CCNA, CCNP, MCSE, RHCE etc.) or equivalent
  • Advanced or Intermediate level understanding of Networking (Layer 2, Layer 3)
  • Knowledge of Storage (FC, ISCI, etc.)
  • Linux/Windows Server expertise
