Design Implement Staff

Broadcom is seeking a Design Implement Staff for their ASIC/Layout Design team. This role oversees the definition, design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development. The ideal candidate will determine architecture design, logic design, and system simulation, as well as define module interfaces/formats for simulation. They will contribute to the development of multidimensional designs involving the layout of complex integrated circuits and evaluate all aspects of the process flow from high-level design to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze equipment to establish operation data, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate results
• Review vendor capability to support development
• Work on complex issues requiring in-depth evaluation of variable factors
• Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria
• Network with key contacts outside own area of expertise
• Determine methods and procedures on new assignments
• Potentially coordinate activities of other personnel (Team Lead)

The ideal candidate will have wide-ranging experience and use professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues creatively and effectively. This position requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience, and post-graduate coursework may be desirable.
