The DFT Staff Engineer role at Broadcom's ASIC Product Division (APD) involves working on various phases of SoC DFT-related activities. Responsibilities include DFT Architecture, Test insertion and verification, Pattern generation, Coverage improvement, Post silicon debug, and yield improvement to meet product test metrics. The role requires collaboration with the Physical Design & STA team for DFT mode timing closure and may involve direct interaction with external customers.
Candidates should possess in-depth knowledge of DFT concepts and extensive experience in various aspects of DFT, including ATPG, MBIST & IJTAG. Strong problem-solving and debugging skills are essential, along with expertise in scripting languages such as Perl and shell. Experience with Mentor Graphics DFT tools (Tessent Shell) is highly desirable.
The ideal candidate should be able to work independently, supervise team members as needed, and possess excellent communication skills. They should have experience working with teams across multiple geographies.
