Broadcom ASIC product division is seeking a Staff Digital Front-End Designer to join their semiconductor innovation team. This role focuses on RTL design, synthesis, and design optimization for high-performance digital systems in AI, networking, and HPC applications. The position offers a competitive salary range of $141,000 - $225,000 with comprehensive benefits.
As a Staff Digital Front-End Designer, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing complex digital IP and subsystems, with a focus on RTL coding and micro-architecture. You'll work closely with verification engineers and physical design teams to ensure functional correctness and timing closure. The role requires expertise in Verilog/SystemVerilog, synthesis tools, and CDC/RDC analysis.
The ideal candidate should have 12+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree or 10+ years with a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Strong technical skills in digital design, micro-architecture, and PPA trade-offs are essential. Responsibilities For Digital Design Engineer
- Lead the design and implementation of advanced digital blocks and subsystems
- Develop high-quality RTL designs using Verilog/SystemVerilog
- Define and refine micro-architecture specifications
- Perform synthesis and work with physical design teams
- Analyze CDC/RDC reports and resolve potential issues
- Collaborate with verification engineers on test plans
- Create and maintain comprehensive design documentation
- Participate in cross-functional design reviews
- Optimize designs for performance, power, and area
Requirements For Digital Design Engineer
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with 12+ years experience, or Master's degree with 10+ years experience
- Strong proficiency in RTL design using Verilog/SystemVerilog
- Expertise in micro-architecture design and PPA trade-offs
- Experience in synthesis, STA, and timing closure using tools like Synopsys DC or Cadence Genus
- Knowledge of CDC/RDC analysis and debugging using tools like Spyglass, Questa CDC
- Understanding of digital design fundamentals
- Familiarity with bus protocols and memory interfaces
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
