Broadcom is seeking a Digital Design: Lead SerDes Digital IP Design Engineer to oversee definition, design, verification co-definition, and documentation for SerDes development. The role involves leading architecture design, RTL development, constraints, synthesis, timing analysis, verification, documentation, and support for SerDes designs.
Key responsibilities include:
- In-depth knowledge of SerDes specifications, integration, and design
- Database and tools management
- Guiding/mentoring team members and users of the SerDes macro block
- Working on significant and unique development and support issues
- Creating formal networks and coordinating among groups across geographical time-zones
The ideal candidate will have:
- 15+ years of in-depth SerDes experience with emphasis on digital/mix signal interfacing
- Expert knowledge in RTL coding styles, constraints development, and timing model creation
- Proficiency in UNIX/Linux and VLSI design tools
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering

- Proficiency in UNIX/Linux
- Knowledge of VLSI design tools for lint, CDC, synthesis, Verification, DFT insertion, timing analysis and scripting languages
