Broadcom is seeking a Senior Field Applications Engineer to join their Sales team, supporting world-leading cloud service providers and OEMs. This role combines technical expertise with customer-facing responsibilities, focusing on Storage and NIC products integration. The position offers competitive compensation between $125,000 - $200,000 plus equity, along with comprehensive benefits.
The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in working with cloud service providers and server OEM customers, bringing strong technical knowledge of high-speed protocols and silicon debugging capabilities. This role requires excellent communication skills as you'll be working directly with customers to understand requirements, provide training, and propose Broadcom solutions.
Key responsibilities include analyzing and debugging issues in Storage and NIC products, guiding customers through the design process, and providing on-site support when needed. You'll serve as a crucial bridge between customers and internal teams, advocating for product enhancements and expediting fixes for defects.

Responsibilities For Field Applications Engineer
- Work with customers and System Applications Engineers to analyze, debug, & root cause issues in Storage and NIC products
- Work with OEM and Cloud customers to integrate Storage and NIC products into storage servers and custom designs
- Guide customers through design process including architecture reviews, schematic reviews, and design-in support
- Train customers on product features and required software tools
- Establish relationships with customers and internal teams to advocate for new product features
- Provide on-site customer support for training and critical issues debugging
- Occasional travel required
Requirements For Field Applications Engineer
- Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 8 years experience working with Cloud service providers and/or server OEM customers
- Hands-on knowledge of high-speed protocols (SAS, SATA, NVMe, Ethernet, PCIe)
- Silicon bring-up and debug experience in customer systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Familiarity with Broadcom MegaRaid, HBA, Expander, and NIC products
