Broadcom, a global technology leader in semiconductor and infrastructure software solutions, is seeking an experienced IC Design Engineer for their R&D team. This role focuses on the design and physical implementation of high-performance System-On-Chip ASICs, working with cutting-edge 5nm or smaller process nodes. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in digital physical design implementation of large-scale ASICs, with demonstrated ability in customer technical support and proficiency in leading-edge physical design EDA tools. The position offers a competitive compensation package including a base salary range of $107,000 - $171,000, plus discretionary annual bonus and equity compensation. Responsibilities For IC Design Engineer
- Design and physical implementation of high performance System-On-Chip ASICs
- Provide technical support to customers and manage customer relationships
- Use commercial and in-house EDA tools for implementing multi-100 million gate circuits in 5nm or smaller processes
- Participate in innovation, design flow and methodology development
- Work on state-of-the-art ASIC design for AI/computing and networking products
Requirements For IC Design Engineer
- Bachelor's in Electrical/Electronics Engineering with 8+ years experience, or Master's with 6+ years, or PhD with 3+ years
- Experience in digital physical design implementation of large scale ASICs
- Familiarity with VLSI design tools for Place&Route, Verilog simulation, DRC/LVS verification, Timing analysis
- Proficiency in UNIX/Linux
- Knowledge of scripting languages - Tcl/Perl/Python
