Broadcom is seeking a Physical Design Engineer to join their team developing silicon products for datacenters and cloud operators. This role is part of a group creating technology for next-generation AI/ML platforms and cloud mega datacenters, focusing on high-end market-dominating PCIe Switches, Server, and Storage Products.
As a Physical Design Engineer, you will:
- Be part of an RTL to GDS team, enabling high-speed chip implementations
- Work on silicon realizations, partnering with logic designers and physical implementation engineers
- Be responsible for Logic Synthesis, Physical Design, Power optimization, Timing Analysis, and flows for 5nm/3nm semiconductor products
- Work with a global team through the entire silicon development cycle till tapeout
The ideal candidate will have:
- BS in Electrical Engineering/Electronics with 8+ years of experience, or MS with 6+ years of experience
- Expertise in Physical Design, Synthesis, EM/IR, Physical Verification, and Timing Signoff
- Understanding of Clock structures, Power optimization, and DFT
- Deep involvement with multiple chip tapeouts
- Hands-on knowledge of scripting in TCL/PERL
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Broadcom offers a competitive compensation package, including:
- Annual base salary range: $107,000 - $190,000
