Join Broadcom's Network Security Team within the VMware Advanced Network & Security Division (ANSD) as a Principal Engineer focused on Network Security. This role involves developing cutting-edge Network Detection and Response (NDR) capabilities for VMware vDefend Advanced Threat Prevention (ATP). Responsibilities For Principal Engineer - Network Security
- Architect and implement scalable detection and correlation pipelines and services
- Develop high-throughput data streaming solutions using Kafka
- Enhance and extend system components with Golang and Java
- Lead deployment and automation in Kubernetes environments
- Develop and improve network-based detection and correlation techniques
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- Package and deploy software for production environments
- Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing
- Educate and engage with internal and external stakeholders
Requirements For Principal Engineer - Network Security
- Bachelor's degree in engineering/computer science and 12+ years of related experience or Masters degree in engineering/computer science and 10+ years of related experience
- Deep expertise in networking protocols (including VPN, TCP/UDP, and HTTP)
- Experience with Python, SQL and NoSQL databases
- Experience with Golang and Java
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm
- Experience with CI/CD workflows and Jenkins
- Experience with Linux systems and Docker containers
