R&D Engineer

The R&D Engineer role at Broadcom is a challenging position for an experienced professional in integrated-circuit process technologies and semiconductor assembly. The ideal candidate will have expertise in manufacturability and reliability issues, with wide-ranging experience in semiconductor device fabrication and operation, device modeling and circuit design, test development and execution, device-level reliability failure mechanisms and testing, assembly process development and qualification, design kit development and wafer foundry manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing design support for IP & ASIC to create robust designs
• Working closely with technology experts and Silicon manufacturing teams
• Defining process flows, design rules, and IP adaptation guidelines
• Creating technology test vehicles for advanced technology & packaging
• Performing WAT & yield analysis on testchips and products
• Assisting with technology road mapping activities

The role requires a strong background in advanced silicon and packaging process technologies, knowledge of Advanced Semiconductor Technology nodes, and experience with EDA tools. The successful candidate will work with large teams from manufacturing, technology, and packaging, and should possess exceptional data analysis, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
