Responsibilities For R&D Engineer IC Design
- Work as part of a physical design team implementing chips from netlist to GDSii
- Responsible for floorplanning, design partition and block pin assignment
- Perform blocks PnR, timing closure, physical verification
- Perform blocks IR/EM analysis
- Write scripts to automate physical design flow
- Perform physical verification using Mentor's Calibre tool
Requirements For R&D Engineer IC Design
- Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience or Master's degree with 5+ years of experience
- Good understanding of technology elements and design flow
- Familiar with scripting languages such as tcl, perl and python
- Expertise in low power IC design
- Experience with chip level IR/EM analysis (preferred)
