Responsibilities For R&D Engineer IC Design
- Oversee definition, design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development
- Determine architecture design, logic design, and system simulation
- Define module interfaces/formats for simulation
- Contribute to development of multidimensional designs involving layout of complex integrated circuits
- Evaluate process flow from high-level design to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use
- Analyze equipment to establish operation data
- Conduct experimental tests and evaluate results
- Review vendor capability to support development
Requirements For R&D Engineer IC Design
- BS with 12+ years experience, or MS with 10+ years experience
- Strong Place and Route background
- Experience with timing closure using Innovus, ICC2 in 16nm technology
- Hands-on experience in all phases design from RTL2GDS
- Experience with Analysis - IRdrop/EM using Apache
- Timing signoff using PrimeTime
- Fluent in tcl/perl scripting and automation
