As an R&D Systems Applications Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of working with top-tier OEMs/ODMs, collaborating on complex technical solutions for GP-GPUs, AI/ML platforms, and storage servers. The ideal candidate brings 12+ years of experience (with BS) or 10+ years (with MS) in Computer Engineering, demonstrating expertise in firmware, software, and hardware debugging, particularly with PCIe technology. Strong communication skills are essential as you'll be interfacing with customers and internal teams regularly.

Responsibilities For R&D System Applications Engineer
- Analyze, debug, and root cause issues found within Broadcom's PCIe switch products
- Provide guidance to OEM and Cloud customers on integrating PCIe switch products
- Develop product documentation for PCIe switch products
- Develop relations and collaborate with industry partners
- Train Field Applications Engineers, Sales Engineers, and support staff
- Develop tools and processes to improve debug efficiency
- Occasional international travel
Requirements For R&D System Applications Engineer
- Experience with firmware, software, hardware and PCIe protocol level debug
- Experience developing and debugging C code
- Experience in embedded software debug or development using PCIe technology
- Experience reading board schematics and layout files
- Skilled at debugging and analyzing high speed analog signals
- Good written and verbal communications skills
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering + 12 years experience or Masters Degree + 10 years experience
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple parallel tasks
