R&D Systems Application Engineer

Broadcom Data Center Solutions Group is seeking a talented and passionate engineer to join the R&D Systems Applications Engineering (SAE) team for a global organization that helps customers design, integrate, and maintain enterprise level products. SAEs work directly with top tier OEMs / ODMs, Field Application Engineers (FAE), and internal design engineers to launch new customer products and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.

Responsibilities include:

• Analyze, debug, and root cause issues found within Broadcom's PCIe/SAS/SATA products and work with appropriate development teams to provide solutions.
• Provide guidance to OEM and Cloud customers on integrating Broadcom's PCIe/SAS/SATA products into various platforms.
• Develop product documentation and train field staff on product features.
• Develop tools and processes to improve debug efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

• Experience with firmware, software, hardware, and protocol level debug.
• Experience developing and debugging C/C++ code.
• Prior experience in embedded software debug or development.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or related field with 8+ years of experience, or Master's degree with 6+ years of experience.

Desirable skills include experience with NVMe/SAS/SATA protocols, RAID, embedded processors, various analysis tools, and SMD/SMT soldering.
