Broadcom WSD (Wireless Semiconductor Division) is seeking an experienced RF Device Modeling Engineer to join their team. The role involves characterizing various RF devices and developing models and simulation methodologies for accurate RF circuit simulation. Key responsibilities include:
- Accurate RF device modeling of power amplifiers, SOI RF switches, and low noise amplifiers used in RF frontend modules
- Test fixture design, DC/S-parameter/Load-pull measurement data analysis
- Device physics analysis, electro-magnetic simulation, electro-thermal simulation, and RF circuit simulation accuracy improvement
- Defining device characteristic requirements for RF circuit performance improvement
- Providing feedback to process development
The ideal candidate will have:
- Major coursework and excellent understanding of device physics
- Solid understanding of BJT/HBT/MOSFET device physics over temperature, voltage, and current
- Understanding of RF measurement fundamentals and de-embedding techniques
- Experience with Cadence layout tool, circuit simulation tools (e.g., Keysight ADS), and TCAD device simulator tools (e.g., Synopsys Sentaurus)
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Strong teamwork skills to collaborate with other designers and teams
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
- 8+ years of related work experience
