Software Engineer

Broadcom is seeking a Software Engineer to join their vSAN team in the Storage and Data Protection Group. The role involves designing, developing, and contributing to key components of vSAN ESA Data Path. The ideal candidate will collaborate effectively with other engineers and researchers to solve complex problems, bring knowledge of distributed systems and storage, and be passionate about understanding customer needs and crafting high-quality solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering product features in a highly scalable distributed data storage product (vSAN ESA)
• Participating in all phases of the software development cycle as part of an agile team
• Collaborating with the team to deliver high-quality code with tests to prevent regressions
• Leading and participating in code reviews
• Writing design specifications and documenting work

The ideal candidate should be a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, have strong collaboration skills with a "Team First" mentality, demonstrate technical engineering excellence, and possess a "Growth" mindset in tackling problems and creating great solutions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's in Computer Science & Engineering with minimum of 15+ years of experience or Master's in Computer Science & Engineering with minimum of 13+ years of experience
• Solid knowledge of OOP concepts, object/data modeling, and data structures
• Deep working knowledge/expertise in C/C++
• Deep working knowledge in multithreading, IPC, socket, signals etc programming
• Expertise in Linux-based systems and system-level programming experience
• GoLang is a plus
