Broadcom, a global technology leader in semiconductor and infrastructure software solutions, is seeking a Solutions Architect for their VMware Cloud Foundation Division. This role focuses on providing technical leadership for customers' strategic IT programs and initiatives. The position involves working with enterprise customers to architect and demonstrate the value of VMware Cloud Foundation solutions, while prescribing consumption and future state architecture plans.
The role requires deep technical expertise in cloud computing, infrastructure design, and IT transformation. You'll work closely with Account Directors, pre-sales teams, and executive leadership to ensure successful adoption of VCF solutions. The position offers significant visibility and impact, particularly in the SLED (State, Local, and Education) markets in CA and AZ.
As a Solutions Architect, you'll lead technical validations, develop customer VCF consumption plans, and conduct technology workshops. The role demands strong presentation skills, as you'll often engage with executive audiences. Success in this position requires both technical depth and business acumen, with opportunities to shape the future of customer infrastructure.
The position offers competitive compensation with an OTE range of $148,000 - $262,000, plus comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, and equity opportunities. This remote position supports the Southwest US region, requiring up to 50% travel to customer sites. Responsibilities For Solutions Architect
- Understand customer's business objectives and IT initiatives
- Lead development of customer VCF consumption plans
- Lead product conversations and demos with customer stakeholders
- Coordinate solution proposals with professional services and partners
- Maintain expertise of VMware technologies
- Participate in pipeline qualification and prioritization
- Travel up to 50% to customer sites as needed
Requirements For Solutions Architect
- BA/BS required with Masters Preferred or Equivalent Industry Experience
- Twelve (12) or more years of Information Technology experience
- Pre-sales customer facing experience OR IT Team/Departmental Leadership
- Experience in developing IT strategies, architectures, roadmaps, and proposals
- Strong relationship building and consultative skills
- Ability to present to executive audiences
- Broad architectural understanding of IT trends and cloud computing
- Knowledge of IT Transformation and Data Center Design
