Description For Staff Field Applications Engineer (Taipei)

Broadcom is seeking a Staff Field Applications Engineer for their PCIe switch/retimer products team in Taipei. This role involves customer-facing technical support, analyzing customer requirements, recommending appropriate solutions, and forming selling strategies with sales/marketing to win strategic opportunities. The successful candidate will work with application engineers to address post-sales issues, collaborate with sales to meet regional revenue and design win goals, and play a crucial role in the company's PCIe-related products.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical support for PCIe switch/retimer products
  • Analyzing customer requirements and recommending solutions
  • Forming selling strategies with sales/marketing teams
  • Addressing post-sales issues (technical, quality, manufacturing, etc.)
  • Collaborating to meet revenue and design win goals

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years in server and storage development, emphasizing PCIe switching
  • In-depth knowledge of PCIe standards, protocols, and data center applications
  • Working knowledge of transaction ordering, virtualization, and host bridge functions
  • Fluency in English with effective verbal and written communication skills
