Staff R&D Software Engineer

Broadcom's Mainframe Software Division (MSD #BroadcomSoftware) is seeking an excellent software engineer passionate about building high-quality applications using agile practices. The role focuses on Event Management and Automation solutions, working with mainframe systems critical to many Fortune 1000 companies. The position involves creating, testing, and maintaining products, performing complex code modifications, and acting as a technical lead within a small team. Key responsibilities include collaborative work in an Agile Team, writing high-quality code, adopting a test-first approach, participating in design and code reviews, creating automated tests, and fostering continuous team improvement. The ideal candidate should have 8+ years of experience in software development, strong skills in design/debugging/coding, and experience with mainframe concepts, QA, and DevOps practices. Knowledge of languages like HLASM, Java, C, and JavaScript is desired, along with familiarity with various development tools and frameworks.

Broadcom offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $107,000 - $171,000, discretionary annual bonus, equity opportunities, and comprehensive benefits.
