Responsibilities For Staff Software Test Engineer
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for software products
- Implement, enhance, and maintain automated test scripts using Python
- Perform testing on Ethernet, TCP/IP, and Fibre Channel networking protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand software requirements
- Identify, document, and track software defects using bug-tracking tools
- Conduct regression, performance, and stress/scale testing
- Analyze test results and provide detailed feedback to development teams
- Continuously improve test processes and methodologies
- Stay current with industry trends and testing technologies
- Maintain test equipment including both Hardware and Software
Requirements For Staff Software Test Engineer
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in software testing, with focus on networking technologies
- Strong understanding of IP and Fibre Channel protocols
- Proficiency in Python programming language and experience with test automation frameworks
- Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail)
