As a TAM, you'll be the primary liaison between customers and VMware, working with a small number of assigned accounts. You'll provide architectural guidance, project leadership, and strategic advice while maintaining deep technical knowledge of VMware's product suite. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, including consultants, engineers, and product management.
The ideal candidate brings 12+ years of networking experience, strong security knowledge, and excellent communication skills. You'll work in a supportive team environment where collaboration is encouraged and leadership focuses on TAM success. While remote-based, the role requires up to 20% travel, primarily regional.

Responsibilities For Technical Adoption Manager – Application Networking & Security
- Establish long-term relationships within assigned accounts
- Provide project leadership and architectural guidance for Network Virtualization
- Collaborate with multi-functional VMware project teams
- Map VMware solutions to customer's business requirements
- Maintain current knowledge of VMware's load balancing and security solutions
- Lead and drive challenging requests across simultaneous client engagements
- Provide product feedback to VMware Product Management teams
- Function as an advisory resource for Best Practices
- Manage customer engagement milestones
- Act as Customer Advocate and extraordinary customer liaison
Requirements For Technical Adoption Manager – Application Networking & Security
- 12+ years proven strong networking experience and knowledge of VMware networking products
- 2+ years proven experience in customer-facing positions
- BS degree preferred or relevant years experience
- VMware Certified Professional Certification (VCP) or greater certification preferred
- Solid technical background in advanced networking and security
- Ability to travel up to 20% locally/regionally
- Domain-level understanding of Cloud Infrastructure & Networking
- Experience with network security tools and concepts
- Experience with integrating heterogeneous networking and security environments
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Strong business insight and problem-solving skills
