Broadcom is seeking a Staff User Interface Engineer for their VMware vDefend product portfolio within the Application Networking and Security Division. As a senior technical leader, you'll be instrumental in driving technical design discussions, decisions, and planning for UI engineering initiatives. Responsibilities For User Interface Engineer

  • Drive in the design, development, document of client-side architecture initiatives and product feature development life cycles
  • Drive the process of developing user models, prototyping and crafting user interfaces
  • Build simple-to-use interfaces for a complex Network & Security solutions
  • Adapt and apply new technologies, best design practices and usability patterns
  • Collaborate with UX Designers, Product Managers, Technical Architects, and cross-functional Engineering teams
  • Strongly disciplined in delivering high quality product
  • Lead team through solving customer reported problems
  • Advocate for usability and quality of our products
  • Be an innovator and coach, mentor others to innovate

Requirements For User Interface Engineer

  • Solid background in OOP, modern browser-based, pixel-perfect UI for cloud-scale applications
  • Expert level in UI development and public API design for large scale software system
  • Strong sense of product usability, as user advocate
  • Strong organization and task management skills
  • Previous successes with leading projects involving cross-functional teams
  • Able to quickly identify risks, recommend avoidances, and handle known risks
  • Excellent in verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science / Engineering or related fields and 8+ years of related experience
