You'll be instrumental in creating 2D, 3D, and digital prototypes, ensuring products meet rigorous technical, aesthetic, and quality standards. Working closely with cross-functional teams across Asia and US operations, you'll manage non-core projects, review technical specifications, and oversee the transition from development to commercialization.

Responsibilities For Tooling Engineer I

  • Work collaboratively with HQ/Asia inline & innovation development team, HQ engineer team, factory partners, and mold shops
  • Support updating the tooling tracker and execute project critical paths
  • Evaluate and confirm technical blueprints for outsole/midsole
  • Participate in product team meetings during prototyping and development phases
  • Support creation of tooling best practices and standards
  • Review 3D CAD models for confirmation and Rapid Prototyping
  • Maintain mold file naming structure and tech transfer process
  • Provide assessment of finished molded components
  • Participate in mold trials and stock-fitting trials
  • Check non-core project pre-form and finished components

Requirements For Tooling Engineer I

  • Bachelor's Degree in Biomechanics, Engineering, Kinesiology, Design or related technical degrees
  • 1 year technical 2D or 2 years of footwear bottom development experience
  • Experience working with Asian manufacturers
  • Proficiency in Office, Outlook, Adobe Illustrator, 2D CAD, FreeForm, 3D CAD and CAM
  • Understanding of Asian working methods and cultural norms
  • Technical knowledge in tooling/footwear engineering
  • Ability to visualize in three dimensions
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Passion for running and active lifestyle
