Responsibilities For Lead Android Engineer - Mobile Foundation
- Explore new Kotlin language features and Android core frameworks, establishing best practices
- Contribute to the evolution of open-source Appyx architecture
- Drive enhancements in core frameworks, including Networking, Image Loading, Analytics
- Optimize the performance of apps, components, and code
- Drive high standards and best practices
- Lead team on building technical roadmaps aligned with strategy and business direction
- Develop partnerships with mobile development teams
- Drive continuous improvement in team processes
Requirements For Lead Android Engineer - Mobile Foundation
- Advanced Android SDK / Kotlin skills
- Strong knowledge of Android API capabilities, framework components and lifecycles
- Excellent understanding of design patterns and Object-Oriented Programming
- Sound computer science foundations: algorithms, data structures, concurrency, threading
- Experience with protobuf, gRPC, and socket-based networking (desirable)
- Strong communication skills, excellent teamwork capabilities
- Ability to act as a role model and mentor for other engineers
- Attention to detail, structural thinking, and passion for software design
