Machine Learning Engineer, Recommendations

Bumble Inc. is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to join their People Recommendations team. The role involves building the next generation recommendation platform for Bumble Inc.'s apps, including Bumble, Badoo, BFF, and Fruitz. The ideal candidate will have strong product sense, extensive experience in machine learning applications, and a passion for creating impactful technology.

Key responsibilities include:

• Exploring, developing, and delivering cutting-edge solutions for ML recommendations systems
• Leveraging technologies like GNNs and Deep Neural Networks
• Conducting large-scale experiments to drive product development
• Working with MLOps platform to serve models at a global scale
• Deploying models and leading their continuous monitoring & improvement
• Keeping up with state-of-the-art research and creating prototypes
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams

The role requires:

• An advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a similar quantitative discipline
• Hands-on experience in delivering machine learning models to production at scale
• Strong Python coding skills and experience with ML frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Understanding of ML development lifecycle processes and tools
• Experience with Docker and containerized applications
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Passion for Machine Learning and thoughtful approach to AI fairness, accountability, and transparency
