Senior Distributed Systems Engineer (Infrastructure)

Caldera is seeking a Senior Distributed Systems Engineer (Infrastructure) to help build the future of blockchain scalability. This role is ideal for engineers passionate about tackling blockchain scalability problems or looking to enter the blockchain engineering space. The position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-impact team and shape the direction of the product and company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and develop backend systems for smooth operation of Caldera chains
• Improve DevOps pipeline for reliable and secure deployment of Caldera chains
• Enhance infrastructure reliability by improving the observability stack
• Build highly reliable and performant RPC infrastructure for billions of daily requests

Requirements:

• 4+ years of engineering experience
• Experience writing distributed systems in Go
• Proficiency with cloud technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Helm)
• Hands-on experience with cloud/infrastructure providers (AWS, Vercel, Cloudflare)
• Expertise in performance optimization and scalability
• Familiarity with observability tools like Grafana or Datadog

Bonus Skills:

• Understanding of blockchain fundamentals (Ethereum, Bitcoin)
• Knowledge of Ethereum scaling solutions (sidechains, rollups)
• Understanding of cryptography primitives
• Experience building Ethereum dapps
