Description For Full Stack Engineer III

Calendly is seeking a Full Stack Engineer III to join their Engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a product used by millions and known for its best-in-class quality. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical know-how, system design knowledge, and a healthy dose of fun to the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate within the team to build new features targeted at high-impact enterprise customers
  • Contribute to platform scaling initiatives
  • Meet regularly with Product and Design to fine-tune requirements
  • Attend agile ceremonies to help plan and execute work
  • Work across squads to improve Engineering practices at Calendly
  • Review implementation plans and pull requests from peers
  • Mentor and coach other team members

The Calendly platform is transitioning from a monolith to a service-oriented architecture. As a Full Stack Engineer, you'll be involved in both building new features and scaling the platform and architecture. You'll work with technologies such as Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, Argo Workflows, Rails, NodeJS, React, PostgreSQL, and Redis.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of Software Development experience at a SaaS or technology company
  • Experience with Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) and microservices
  • Previous experience with monolith to services architectural rebuilds
  • Experience with Rails, Node, or a comparable web-app development framework
  • Drive to craft clean, reliable, and maintainable code
  • Availability for participation in on-call rotation
  • Authorization to work lawfully in the United States
