Description For Senior Full Stack Engineer

Calendly is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join their Engineering team. This role offers an opportunity to work on a product used by millions and known for its best-in-class quality. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical know-how, architectural wisdom, and enthusiasm to the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate within the team to build new features targeted at high-impact enterprise customers
  • Contribute to platform scaling initiatives
  • Meet regularly with Product and Design to fine-tune requirements
  • Attend agile ceremonies to help plan and execute work
  • Work across squads to improve Engineering practices at Calendly
  • Review implementation plans and pull requests from peers
  • Mentor and coach other team members

The Calendly platform is transitioning from a monolith to a service-oriented architecture. As an engineer, you'll be involved in both building new features and scaling the platform and architecture. You'll work with technologies such as Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, Argo Workflows, Rails, NodeJS, React, PostgreSQL, and Redis.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of Software Development experience at a SaaS or technology company
  • Experience with Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) and microservices
  • Experience with monolith to services architectural rebuilds
  • Proficiency in Rails, Node, or a comparable web-app development framework
  • Drive to craft clean, reliable, and maintainable code
  • Availability for on-call rotation
  • Authorization to work lawfully in the United States

Calendly offers a competitive salary based on location, with three tiers:

  • Tier 1 (San Francisco, CA, San Jose, CA, New York City, NY): $197,880 - $267,720 USD
  • Tier 2 (Chicago, IL, Austin, TX, Denver, CO, Boston, MA, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, PA, Portland, OR, Seattle, WA, Miami, FL, and all other cities in CA): $181,390 - $245,410 USD
  • Tier 3 (All other locations): $164,900 - $223,100 USD
