Description For Telco Field Engineer

Responsibilities For Telco Field Engineer

  • Match customer requirements in VNF/CNF/NFVi/NFVO/VNFM/VIM/MEC space
  • Provide technical pre-sales consulting to Service Provider teams
  • Design and implement telco-grade open source multi-tenant private clouds
  • Deploy cloud solutions (OpenStack, Kubernetes, MAAS and Ceph)
  • Investigate and fix software defects during deployments
  • Demonstrate Infrastructure as code techniques
  • Work with Juju charms for various systems
  • Help customers adopt Bare Metal, Public, Private and Hybrid Cloud solutions
  • Drive product improvements from customer engagements
  • Shape roadmap for telco market growth

Requirements For Telco Field Engineer

Python
Kubernetes
Linux
  • Python software development experience at intermediate level
  • Terraform automation experience
  • Understanding of telco NFVi, NFVO, VNFM and MEC space
  • Knowledge of CPU Pinning, NUMA, SRIOV, DPDK
  • Understanding of MNOs and CSPs architectures
  • Knowledge of Mobile Packet Core, Radio, VAS, OSS/BSS
  • Working knowledge of Linux, OpenStack and Kubernetes networking
  • Ability to lead complex projects
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Able to travel up to 50% of the time
