Description For Ubuntu Sales Engineer (Entry-Level)

Canonical is seeking an Ubuntu Pro Sales Engineer to help global companies embrace the latest Linux and open source applications. This role involves applying expert insights to real-world customer problems, enabling enterprise adoption of Ubuntu Pro, OpenStack, Canonical Microcloud, Kubernetes, and associated technologies. The ideal candidate has a technical background, is business-minded, and driven by commercial success.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collecting customer business requirements and advising on Ubuntu and relevant open source applications
  • Identifying customer challenges and articulating how Ubuntu Pro can solve them
  • Delivering presentations and demonstrations to prospective and current clients
  • Liaising with product teams to provide feedback on requirements
  • Collaborating with the sales team to reach common targets

  • Technical undergraduate degree or compelling alternative path
  • Confidence in communication and idea-sharing
