Description For QA Engineer

Capital on Tap is seeking a QA Engineer to join their team in a remote position based in Poland. This B2B contract role involves both manual and automated testing, as well as contributing to best practices throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing automated test scenarios as part of an agile team
  • Driving continuous improvement in test processes and procedures
  • Investigating user problems, testing bugs, and managing bug reports
  • Supporting engineering colleagues to make testing a team-wide responsibility
  • Managing risks and issues with timely escalation to project stakeholders
  • Reviewing design proposals, acceptance criteria, and processes

The ideal candidate should have:

  • QA experience with Web/Mobile applications
  • Experience in creating automation frameworks from scratch
  • Expertise in Functional and Regression testing (Manual, Automated, Performance, and Ad-Hoc)
  • Coding experience in JavaScript/TypeScript or C#
  • Experience with testing tools such as Cypress, Selenium Webdriver, RestSharp, PostMan, and Appium
  • Understanding of CI/CD concepts and implementing continuous testing practices

Responsibilities For QA Engineer

  • Contribute to the ongoing development of automated test scenarios working as part of an agile team
  • Drive continuous improvement, recommending and implementing enhancements to test processes and procedures
  • Investigating user problems referred by the Product teams, testing bugs, and creating and managing bug reports
  • Support engineering colleagues so that testing is a team-wide responsibility
  • Manage risks and issues effectively with timely escalation to the project stakeholders
  • Review design proposals, acceptance criteria, and processes, and recommend improvements
