Principal Data Analyst - Software (Remote)

Capital One Software is seeking a Principal Data Analyst to join their Product Analytics team in a fully remote capacity. This role is part of an exciting journey to bring technology products to enterprise-scale business customers, with their first product, Capital One Slingshot, already in general availability since 2022.

The position offers an opportunity to work at the intersection of data analytics and product development, where you'll be instrumental in empowering product managers with crucial insights for data-driven decision making. You'll be analyzing how products create value for customers and helping shape their future direction.

As a Principal Data Analyst, you'll leverage your expertise in Python, R, Spark, and SQL to work with various data forms, from structured data warehouses to unstructured data. The role requires strong analytical capabilities, with experience in AWS services being particularly valuable. You'll be collaborating with cross-functional partners across products to deliver tangible business value and actionable insights.

The compensation package is competitive, ranging from $115,900 to $132,200, with additional performance-based incentives including cash bonuses and long-term incentives. Capital One offers comprehensive health, financial, and other benefits supporting total well-being.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in data analytics with a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, or 3 years with a Master's degree. Strong technical skills, experience with business intelligence visualization tools, and a background in data governance and quality management within the financial services industry are highly valued.
