Captivation Software is seeking a senior-level DevOps Software Engineer for Operational and Maintenance (O&M) efforts. The role involves installation, configuration, integration, monitoring, and sustaining a large multi-tenant containerized Kubernetes High Performance Computing as a service (HPCaaS) platform in a large Linux computing environment.
Key requirements include:
- Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph
- U.S. citizenship
- Strong experience with Linux CLI, scripting (Bash/Python), and development in Python and Java
- Expertise in HPC, containerization (Docker), and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Experience with IaC, CI/CD, and Git Version Control System
The ideal candidate will have a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, with 5-9 years of relevant experience. They should be familiar with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles, Atlassian tools, and system monitoring tools like Grafana/Prometheus.

Responsibilities For Senior DevOps Software Engineer

Requirements For Senior DevOps Software Engineer
- Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph
- U.S. citizenship
- Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline plus five years of experience, or Bachelor's degree plus seven years of experience, or nine years of experience
- Experience with Linux CLI
- Experience developing and maintaining scripts using Bash/Python
- Experience developing with Python and Java in a Linux environment
- General HPC technical knowledge
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker
- Experience with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes
- Experience administering Kubernetes clusters on bare metal in a Linux environment
- Experience with IaC concepts, principles, and automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform
- Experience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as GitLab CI
- Experience with Git Version Control System
