Software Engineer 2 - AI/ML

Captivation Software is looking for a mid-level software engineer to assist with daily responsibilities on the program. We are seeking individuals who can get stuff done while making a difference in support of the mission to protect our country. The ideal candidate will have experience in AI/ML, including large data set analysis, natural language processing, deep learning models, and machine learning optimization. This role requires a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze, clean, and format large data sets for machine learning
• Perform Natural Language Processing, focusing on machine learning techniques for entity extraction
• Design and develop deep learning models
• Optimize machine learning models through feature selection, metrics analysis, and architecture/hyperparameter adjustment
• Deploy models into larger systems and monitor real-time performance
• Work with Python and related data processing and machine learning libraries
• Collaborate using tools like Docker, GitHub/GitLab, and Jira

Requirements:

• 14 years of experience as a Software Engineer in similar programs
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Current Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph
• U.S. citizenship

Desired Skills:

• Experience with large language models (LLM) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
• Proficiency in Python and libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch
• Experience with Docker, GitHub/GitLab, and Jira
