Description For Software Engineer 2 - DevOps

Captivation Software is seeking a mid-level software engineer to serve as a DevOps Engineer. The role involves developing and maintaining complex Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions, with a focus on automation and efficiency to enhance software builds and deployments. The ideal candidate should have experience with Linux CLI, Bash scripting, CI/CD principles, and various DevOps tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines
  • Automate manual processes to improve efficiency
  • Work with containerization technologies like Docker
  • Utilize Git for source control

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (Master's preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer
  • Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph
  • Proficiency in Linux CLI and Bash scripting
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Travis CI, CircleCI)
  • Knowledge of IaC principles and tools like Ansible
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies
  • Experience with release management and Dev/Sec/Ops processes
