Description For Founding Security Engineer

Casca is revolutionizing the banking industry with their AI-native systems, specifically focusing on loan origination and processing. As the Founding Security Engineer, you'll be instrumental in building the security foundation for this innovative fintech company.

You'll be responsible for architecting the entire security infrastructure from the ground up, working directly with the engineering team, Chief Risk Officer, and CTO. The role involves creating automated security systems that can scale with the company's growth while maintaining bank-grade protection standards.

The position offers a unique opportunity to bridge the gap between cutting-edge AI innovation and institutional-grade security. You'll be pioneering security practices that will set industry standards for AI-powered fintech, leading SOC 1 & SOC 2 compliance efforts, and creating a company-wide security culture.

Casca's platform is already trusted by major U.S. banks, reducing loan decision time from months to minutes. The company's mission is to replace 30+ year-old legacy technology with AI-native systems that automate 90% of manual work. Their first product includes an AI Agent named Sarah that handles small business loan applications.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of information security experience, strong AWS cloud security expertise, and deep knowledge of security and AI frameworks. You'll be joining an all-Stanford team of AI/ML engineers and industry experts who have grown banking software companies to $150M+ in ARR.

This is an opportunity to define the future of banking security while working with cutting-edge AI technology. You'll be essential in protecting millions of customers' financial data while enabling rapid AI innovation in the $7T lending industry.
