CATHEXIS is seeking a .NET Developer to support the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Personnel & Readiness (OSD P&R) in developing and enhancing the Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS). This role is crucial in designing and maintaining secure, scalable applications that ensure accurate military readiness data reporting. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement at the Mark Center in Alexandria, VA, requiring candidates to live within commutable distance.

As a .NET Developer, you'll work with modern technologies including C#, ASP.NET, and .NET Core, while maintaining SQL Server databases and implementing security compliance measures. The role demands strong technical expertise in both backend and frontend development, with a focus on DoD standards and security requirements. You'll be part of an Agile/Scrum team, collaborating with various stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities For .Net Developer

  • Design, develop, and maintain software applications using .NET technologies (C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core)
  • Write clean, maintainable code while following best coding practices and standards
  • Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of .NET applications
  • Convert and upgrade legacy applications to modern .NET frameworks
  • Develop and maintain SQL Server databases, including writing complex queries and stored procedures
  • Implement and maintain unit tests to ensure software reliability
  • Collaborate with software engineers, quality assurance teams, and stakeholders
  • Follow Agile/Scrum development methodologies
  • Ensure software security and compliance requirements
  • Participate in deployment and release planning
  • Conduct software audits
  • Stay current with emerging .NET technologies

Requirements For .Net Developer

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance required, TS or above preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or 4 years experience)
  • Active Security+ certification
  • Hands-on experience with .NET development in C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, and Visual Studio
  • Strong knowledge of front-end technologies
  • Experience with SQL Server
  • Proficiency in code versioning tools like Git
  • Experience with cloud-based development, preferably in AWS GovCloud
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Understanding of secure coding practices
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
