Description For .Net Developer

CATHEXIS is seeking a .NET Developer to support the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Personnel & Readiness (OSD P&R) in developing and enhancing the Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS). This role involves working on a mission-critical platform used across P&R offices that enables military units to manage key data on personnel, training readiness, medical records, and deployment status. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement at the Mark Center in Alexandria, VA, requiring candidates to live within commutable distance. The role combines technical expertise in .NET development with the opportunity to directly impact military decision-making processes. Responsibilities For .Net Developer

  • Design, develop, and maintain software applications using .NET technologies (C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core)
  • Write clean, maintainable code while following best coding practices and standards
  • Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of .NET applications
  • Convert and upgrade legacy applications to modern .NET frameworks
  • Develop and maintain SQL Server databases, including writing complex queries and stored procedures
  • Implement and maintain unit tests to ensure software reliability
  • Collaborate with software engineers, quality assurance teams, and stakeholders
  • Follow Agile/Scrum development methodologies
  • Ensure software security and compliance requirements
  • Participate in deployment and release planning
  • Conduct software audits
  • Stay current with emerging .NET technologies

Requirements For .Net Developer

JavaScript
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance required, TS or above preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or 4 years experience)
  • 2+ years of experience for Junior Level, 5+ years for Mid-Level
  • Active Security+ certification
  • Experience with .NET development in C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, and Visual Studio
  • Strong knowledge of front-end technologies
  • Experience with SQL Server
  • Proficiency in Git
  • Experience with cloud-based development
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Understanding of secure coding practices
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
