Team CATHEXIS is seeking a Software Developer to support the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Personnel & Readiness (OSD P&R) in developing and enhancing the Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS). This critical platform is used across all P&R offices to track military unit readiness data, including personnel training, medical status, deployment history, and mission preparedness. The role involves building and maintaining scalable, automated software solutions that improve DRRS efficiency and functionality. Working in a hybrid environment at the Mark Center in Alexandria, VA, you'll be part of a team that values respect, engagement, customer service, integrity, and excellence. Responsibilities For Software Developer
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, automated software solutions
- Write clean, maintainable, and high-quality code while conducting peer code reviews
- Develop software solutions leveraging automation and integrate with existing systems
- Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to understand requirements
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deployment strategies, and automated testing frameworks
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, test, and production environments
- Implement containerization strategies for improved scalability and portability
- Monitor and analyze system performance, ensuring adherence to SLAs
- Participate in system documentation and incident response
Requirements For Software Developer
- Active Secret Clearance is required
- BS degree and five (5) years of experience
- Proficiency in programming languages like Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript
- Knowledge of scripting languages like JavaScript, jQuery, and/or React
- Experience with databases such as MSSQL and/or Oracle
- Experience with complex SQL queries
- Working with application/web servers
- Proficient with Git or other version control system
- Experience working in an Agile/DevOps process
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle
- Ability to be available for required on-call responsibilities
- Ability to participate in disaster recovery drills
