Responsibilities For Senior Penetration Testing Engineer
- Perform advanced penetration testing and vulnerability assessments on systems and applications
- Develop and execute test plans, including manual and automated testing techniques
- Identify and exploit security weaknesses in applications and services
- Prepare detailed reports of findings with clear instructions for remediation
- Collaborate with development teams to assist in securing applications and infrastructure
- Stay updated on the latest security vulnerabilities, trends, and technologies
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior security engineers
Requirements For Senior Penetration Testing Engineer
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in penetration testing or red team operations
- Expert knowledge of penetration testing tools such as Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nessus, and others
- Proficient in programming/scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, or JavaScript
- Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and web application architectures
- Relevant certifications such as OSCP, CEH, or GPEN are highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills for articulating complex technical findings
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently
