Description For 5G BTS Field Engineer

CED Systems is a telecommunications startup at the forefront of nationwide 5G deployment, providing crucial support to OEMs and operators in enhancing network connectivity. We're seeking a 5G BTS Field Engineer to join our dynamic team in multiple locations across the United States.

The role involves hands-on work with cutting-edge 5G and LTE technologies, specifically focusing on Nokia equipment installation, configuration, and integration. As a field engineer, you'll be responsible for both new deployments and existing technology integrations, working closely with construction crews and integration engineers to ensure successful project completion.

This position is ideal for someone with 1-3 years of telecommunications site experience, particularly with Nokia equipment. You'll be working with state-of-the-art technology including NSN Multi-Flexi System & Airscale modules and radios, performing installations of critical infrastructure components like routers, GPS kits, and CPRI fibers.

Responsibilities For 5G BTS Field Engineer

  • Installing, configuring and integrating new 5G and LTE equipment from Nokia on cell sites
  • Coordinate tasks with integration engineers
  • Commissioning & Integration of UMTS, GSM, LTE and NR radio technologies
  • Installations of routers, Circuit Breakers, GPS Kit, LAN Connections, CPRI Fibers
  • Mounting/unmounting of cabinet, racks and hardware
  • Work with construction crew on site to complete job scope

Requirements For 5G BTS Field Engineer

  • Associates Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering or related field preferred
  • NOKIA Certifications (L0, L1, GC Academy preferred)
  • Experience with Nokia BTS manager
  • Experience with NSN Multi-Flexi System & Airscale modules and radios
  • Ability to work within Maintenance Window hours (midnight to 6am)
  • Ability to travel within a region
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and climb a 12 ft ladder
  • Valid driver's license
  • Computer and MS Office Proficient
  • Own vehicle, basic set of tools, laptop, and cell phone required
