Staff Data Platform Engineer

Celonis, the global leader in Process Mining technology, is seeking a Staff Data Platform Engineer to join their Cloud Platform and Infrastructure Engineering team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on the architecture of growing data services infrastructure that powers Celonis' cloud products.

As a Staff Data Platform Engineer, you'll be part of a distributed team across Europe and the US, responsible for designing and managing the PostgreSQL infrastructure for a large-scale cloud environment. You'll collaborate closely with development teams and stakeholders to define and drive future architecture, while also providing guidance to junior engineers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and managing PostgreSQL infrastructure for a large-scale cloud environment
• Building out observability capabilities for DevOps teams
• Driving architectural initiatives to evolve the environment
• Providing expert advice on optimal usage and avoiding pitfalls

The ideal candidate will have:

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• 6+ years managing RDBMS databases at scale
• 2+ years experience with PostgreSQL
• In-depth knowledge of SQL and performance tuning
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Celonis offers a competitive salary range of $192,000 - $234,000 USD for this role in New York, along with benefits including equity, health insurance, 401k, and paid time off.
