The Center for Employment Opportunities (CEO) is seeking a Job Developer to play a crucial role in helping formerly incarcerated individuals transition successfully into stable employment. This position involves developing and maintaining relationships with employers, matching participants with suitable job opportunities, and achieving placement goals. The role requires a combination of strategic planning, relationship building, and direct participant support.

The ideal candidate will have experience in workforce development or recruitment, with a strong commitment to social justice and reentry work. They will be responsible for producing up to 5 direct placements monthly, conducting employer outreach, and managing a caseload of participants through the job search and placement process.

CEO has a rich history dating back to the 1970s, growing from a Vera Institute of Justice project to the country's leading reentry employment organization. They've helped over 30,000 formerly incarcerated individuals secure full-time employment since 1996, serving 8,000-9,000 participants annually across the United States.

Responsibilities For Job Developer

  • Develop and implement strategic plan for placement services
  • Conduct reviews of existing business partnerships
  • Achieve placement goals in accordance with contractual obligations
  • Research and build relationships with prospective employers
  • Maintain relationships with existing employer partners
  • Conduct daily prospecting, cold calls, and face-to-face meetings
  • Produce up to 5 direct placements a month
  • Screen and match program participants with employment opportunities
  • Customize participants' resumes
  • Manage participant caseload and provide coaching
  • Document all activities in Salesforce

Requirements For Job Developer

  • Experience in workforce development, recruitment, or sales/account management
