Description For Job Developer

The Center for Employment Opportunities (CEO) is seeking a Job Developer for their Oakland office. This crucial role helps individuals coming out of incarceration regain skills and confidence for a successful transition to stable and productive lives. Job Developers increase employment opportunities for participants, using their interests, experiences, and ambitions as a foundation for job placements and employer cultivation.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Developing and implementing a strategic plan for placement services
  2. Conducting outreach and building relationships with prospective employers
  3. Achieving placement goals (up to 5 direct placements a month)
  4. Screening and matching program participants with employment opportunities
  5. Managing a caseload of participants and providing support throughout the job search process
  6. Documenting all activities in the case management system (Salesforce)

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Experience in workforce development, recruitment, or sales/account management
  • Passion for social justice and making an impact in people's lives
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Resilience and ability to work under pressure
  • Data analysis skills to guide practice and decision-making
