CesiumAstro is seeking a Principal Assembly, Integration & Test (AIT) Engineer I for Electrical Ground Systems Support Equipment (EGSE) to join their team. This role involves supporting daily work in the lab and cleanroom for AI&T operations. The ideal candidate should be passionate about developing critical test systems for leading-edge satellite, spacecraft, and aerospace communication systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing requirements, designs, and support for electrical ground support equipment (GSE)
- Working with System Engineering on requirements V&V test plans
- Building AI&T schedules with Program Management
- Supporting on-orbit mission operations
- Validating electrical interfaces between test equipment and flight hardware
- Providing expert guidance in spacecraft assembly, integration, and test campaigns
- Developing and executing acceptance/qualification testing activities
- Leading RCCAs of integration test issues
- Troubleshooting electrical issues during integration and testing
- Leading integration and test readiness reviews
- Analyzing and presenting integration and test data
- Supporting coordination of spacecraft AI&T and launch operations
Requirements:
- B.S. degree in aerospace, electrical, or related engineering discipline
- Minimum 9 years of experience in spacecraft or related systems assembly, integration, and test operations
- Experience in multiple stages of satellite and component development
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python)
